Job description
Essential Functions:
Obtain standard carotid, venous and arterial vascular studies
Must be familiar with renal doppler and venous reflux studies
Communicates with patients, visitors and co-workers, respecting confidentiality
Maintains all equipment
Observes practices consistent with infection control policies
Responsible for record keeping and entering appropriate billing information
Ensures continual quality improvement of patient services
Demonstrates ideals of quality customer service
Participates in continuing education programs
Supports policies ad procedures of the department and hospital
Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provides age specific treatment and care
Education:
College degree or secondary schooling certification required
Requirements:
Registered or registry eligible required
Minimum of one year clinical experience in a vascular lab
Must be knowledgeable and able to perform carotid duplex, venous and arterial studies of the extremities
Basic Life Support Certification Required - American Heart Association Only
Experience with renal dopplers and venous reflux exams preferred
Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
