Job description
The Opportunity:
The Lead Consultant works with the Energy & Engineering Professional Services Practice project implementation team responsible for functional and business domain expertise of projects for requirements, design, configuring, and implementing OpenText’s Energy and Engineering Content Management solutions for the entire engineering lifecycle. This includes capital projects, operational asset data management, and collaboration with suppliers. The lead consultant is responsible for delivering quality configurable and customized implementations that meet the customer’s needs in accordance with documented business, user, and functional requirements.
You are great at:
- Understanding and practical domain and functional working experience of Energy and Engineering industry and Engineering Lifecycle and a strong understanding of Engineering related Content Management Solutions and associated business processes.
- Leading customer facing strategic discussions from a business domain and functional expertise perspective
- Leading a team of business consultants and technical architects
- Leading quality outputs for solution implementation planning, design, configuration, development, testing, and overall technical delivery within a project’s timeline and in conjunction with the Project Manager
- Designing, Configuring, and implementing on various platforms and solutions
- Managing deliverables and activities to completion for fellow technical team members
- Participating in pre-sales when required.
- Provide domain and functional input for RFI’s/RFP’s
- Providing suggested enhancements to the Energy & Engineering Product Management team based on customer feedback and industry trends and implementation experience.
- Helping with the growth of existing client relationships by being a trusted advisor as a domain and functional lead resource
- Strong team member that excels at both written and verbal forms of communication to varying degrees of audience.
- Independent, goal oriented, confident self-starter able to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Able to travel in North America. Average is ~15% annually with some peak periods depending on the project.
What it takes:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of functional business consultative experience in any combination of the following Enterprise Content Management Products or equivalent:
- OpenText Content Server
- OpenText Extended ECM for Engineering (aka EDM)
Documentum Asset Operations
Documentum Capital Projects
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in one or a combination of the following Operating Systems and Web Services Tools:
- Technical experience in any industry standard Database, Programming Languages, Applications and Tools is a plus:
- Having Certifications in any of the following is a plus:
- OpenText Content Server Business Consultant
Estimated total comp including bonus $113,400 - $170,200 USD in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
