Are you a San Francisco Bay Area - based Senior Full Stack Engineer who is looking to help make agriculture sustainable and profitable so that small, family-owned farms can thrive?

Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Hybrid Position)

This is IN OFFICE, NOT a remote position.

As a pivotal member of our dynamic team, you will spearhead the development of both back-end and front-end components of our web applications. Utilizing a diverse range of software languages and tools, and a multi-year track record of being equally comfortable developing solutions in Python/Django and JavaScript, you will craft and evolve applications that are at the forefront of agricultural technology. Based in San Mateo with limited flexibility for remote work, you will collaborate closely with our team to innovate and deliver top-tier software products. We're seeking a product-focused professional who excels in defining projects and developing comprehensive features across the application stack. You are thorough, innovative, detail-oriented, and get stuff done!

Your contribution will be instrumental in scaling our software platform, as AgMonitor is on an exponential growth trajectory, doubling its acreage annually. Embrace the opportunity to significantly impact our roadmap, enhancing user experience through reliable, intuitive applications built on Django, React, and jQuery UI. Your expertise and proactive approach will be key to realizing our vision and you want to own the results of your hard work.

Your Milestones:

· 3 Months: Play a leading role in designing and delivering well tested features for our upcoming product releases.

· 6 Months: Actively engage in product roadmap discussions, refining and contributing innovative feature ideas.

· 12 Months: Take ownership of a major feature, driving our platform's expansion by fourfold.

Qualifications:

· Skilled in front-end technologies including React, JQuery, Typescript, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

· Proficient in back-end development, with expertise in Python/Django, and Celery.

· Proficient in Full-Stack Development, with a solid understanding of software development principles.

· Experience with infrastructure tools like Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Postgres, Git/Bitbucket.

· Proven track record in building scalable cloud-based applications including containers (Docker, etc.).

· Proficiency in database design and management, particularly with Postgres.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Masters preferred.

· Prior experience in the agriculture sector is highly desirable. Rural background preferred.

· Experience with mobile applications (iOS etc.) and/or GIS data is an advantage.
