Job description
Job Title: Software Engineer
The Quantum information and Integrated Nanosystems Group conducts quantum information science research from a shared foundation of innovative control signal design, outstanding fabrication tools and well-equipped measurement infrastructure. The group has a broad range of experimental and prototyping activities. The group's quantum information science activities include development of superconducting and trapped-ion qubits and quantum sensing with NV-centers in diamond.
One of the Group's application focuses for quantum sensing is that of magnetic field measurement. Here, our Group's highly sensitive, novel quantum magnetometers target improvement in the imaging of microelectronic structures as well as platform navigation. These applications require software development and support to fully realize the potential of the Group's quantum sensing devices
Key responsibilities include:
Software modularization
Continuous integration (build/test) and continuous delivery
Unit and integration test development
Embedded, real-time system deployment, test, and debug
Documentation (i.e., Developer, User, and Quick Start Guides)
Must Have:
Embedded system development
Publish / subscribe messaging familiarity (e.g., DDS, ROS, LCM)
C/C++ Programming
GIT/CI/CD (as both user and admin)
Software Documentation (Architecture, API, Tutorials)
Nice to Have:
Navigational filter design, test, and debug
Streaming Signal Processing
Julia
Meson build system
Matlab
Education & Experience: 2 Years of relevant work experience.
Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
