A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PHILANTHROPY COORDINATOR:
This position is a key member of the development team and database-heavy position with opportunities to assume responsibilities across a wide range of fundraising, communications and administrative activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain accurate records in Agency databases and file systems.
- Manage Agency's CRM, Raiser's Edge NXT. Including, but not limited to, gift entry, creating queries/reports, data clean up, donor surveys, constituent profile management and donor mailings/communications.
- Ensure all gifts are acknowledged in a timely manner. Process donations, generate and track tax-receipts and acknowledgement letters.
- Update and maintain Philanthropy Department operating manual and policies.
- Supports the Development Manager and Chief of HR in the execution of fundraising appeals and campaigns.
- Supports the creation of donor materials (i.e. 1-pagers, gratitude reports, brochures) and development-related communications (i.e. emails, social media posts, website updates). Work with Marketing Department as needed.
- Supports the cultivation of a culture of philanthropy within the Agency.
- Collects impact stories from department managers on a quarterly basis.
- Provides support during fundraising and community events, as needed.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of gifts. Work with Finance Department as needed.
- Supports all fundraising activities, direct mail appeals and giving programs.
- Work with Agency's Volunteer Coordinator to identify opportunities for engagement.
- Research grant and third party funding opportunities
- Prepares background reports on prospective donors/sponsors using database and public information sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or related experience (Required)
- 2 year's related experience in professional experience or fundraising (Required)
- 2 year's related experience in database management (Highly Preferred)
- Valid State driver's license required
