Job description
IDR is seeking n Medical Coder to join one of our top healthcare clients onsite in Rancho Mirage, CA . This will be a 3 month contract to hire role with the opportunity to be extended. If you want to join a large organization and work within an ever-growing team-oriented culture, apply now!
Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Medical Coder:
- Ensures compliance with Code of Conduct and policies, addressing compliance questions and reporting violations.
- Maintains high-quality work per current standards.
- Codes diagnoses and procedures for E&M and simple visit encounters.
- Validates claim information for various payers.
- Collaborates with team members and clinic staff for accurate billing documentation.
Required Skills for the Medical Coder: - One year of experience in billing/charge capture coding or related services
• Experience with ICD-10-CM & CPT/HCPCS coding conventions
• General computer skills to include Excel, Word, and Power point
• Knowledge of Denial and appeals process
• Knowledge of general CMS guidelines and general billing guidelines
billing and or coding background to work in Claim Edits
