Client Overview:  Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial components for different industries

Job title:  GENERAL MANAGER for their North American operations.

Mission:

According to the Group strategy, the candidate will be the focal point of the operation management of the two manufacturing plants, reporting to the Group COO. The position will be responsible for the implementation of the industrial plan in the US territory and for achieving the related targets in the new assigned industrial footprint.

Main responsibilities:

• Managing P&L of the plants;
• Evaluating how the business operates and developing strategies to drive competitive advantage through safe and efficient use of resources and implementation of new technologies, systems or processes;
• Supervising the local plants and monitoring the industrial KPIs;
• Animating the staff and leading the functional teams in Production, Logistics, Production Planning, Quality, Controlling, Finance & Administration and HR, cooperating also with the respective Corporate functions;
• Liaising with the BU leaders in reaching business targets in terms of revenues, economic results, profitability and market penetration;
• Contributing to the development and implementation of the international business development strategy for the Group;
• Ensuring the safe operation of the facility and the systematic daily organization of resources including people equipment and materials are available to meet customer requirements;
• Monitoring and analyzing the current system of production to ensure efficient and effective use of resources;
• Researching new technologies and alternative methods of production, developing improvement strategies to drive productivity, competitive advantage, and increase profitability;
• Building strong relationships with the Corporate and BU management in order to achieve the country and group goals.

Main requirements and qualifications:

• Engineering BS degree
• 5/7 years of experience in a similar role
• Significant experience in the U.S. market and an in-depth knowledge of the territory
• Solid background in the manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics industry.
• Used to day-by-day management
• Knowledge of B2B automotive, healthcare, life science, or chemical industries
• People management experience, both in operations and administrative areas
• Fluent English knowledge
• US Mobility is a highly competitive factor
