Environmental Scientist
Overview For this position we are seeking and Environmental Scientist with 5 years of experience or more in wetland assessment, permitting, mitigation, and NEPA documentation. The position requires rigorous field work in all weather conditions, technical writing, task/project management, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Main Points - Salary: 70k-85k depending on experience
- Must have Bachelors Degree
- Must have Wetland Delineation experience
- Experience managing projects
- Experience as technical Lead
Job Duties - Collecting and scientifically analyzing soil, air and water samples to determine the level and cause of environmental contamination.
- Developing solutions to control, fix or prevent environmental problems.
- Conducting environmental research projects and preparing reports and presentations on their findings.
- Advising governmental organizations, businesses and the public on potential environmental hazards and health risks.
Requirements - Successful candidates will have a B.S. in Environmental Science or related field, with pertinent course work in applied sciences such as ecology, botany, and natural resource management / regulations.
- At least 5 years of applied field experience in wetland delineation, at least two (2) of those years delineating as the technical lead required.
