EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team in our Leesburg, VA location! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.

Job Description:
The position of Cost Accountant is r esponsible for establishing EIT's product and service costs according to corporate procedures and following financial compliances.

• Inputs and maintains the cost accounting system
• Oversees the cost control systems
• Manages and interprets cost standards
• Prepares cost accounting reports for presentation to top management
• Gathers historical cost data (materials, labor, depreciation, operating expenses, etc.) to compare budgets with actual expenses
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met, adhering to approved budgets

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 1 -3 years of related experience
• Working knowledge of accounting in the manufacturing industry, required
• Experience in general ledger and variance analysis, required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to work with others from different functional areas of the company and auditors
• Strong attention to detail
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects

Working Conditions:
Normal office environment
9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off
