LaSalle Network is partnering with a rapidly growing startup food manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality, innovative food products. The company is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Controller to oversee all aspects accounting and financial reporting. The
Controller will play a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in the food manufacturing industry.
Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track performance against targets
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
- Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, including product launches, expansion plans and investment decisions
Controller Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management
- Manufacturing experience required; food manufacturing preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities
