Job description
Nesco Resource is currently seeking an Experienced Manual Welder for our long term client in Troy .
2nd Shift: 4pm-2am Monday-Thursday
This position will be a production welder, not fabrication . Primarily this individual will perform manual welding functions fully independently, however when demand for manual welding is lower, will be expected to run robotic weld machines including but not limited to resistance welders, and may also be trained to troubleshoot robotic weld machines and train operators on the robotic weld machines.
Function: Operates, sets and maintains manual production welding equipment used for the joining of metal components using defined welding processes to meet customer specification while monitoring quality, processing paperwork, and maintaining the work area. Meets fast-paced production requirements.
Special Circumstances of the Job: The ideal candidate will be certified and experienced in
MIG and
TIG welding in a manufacturing environment. Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to assist the team in the continuous improvement/development of the production area. Other abilities/conditions are:
- Common Protective or Safety Attire – job specific PPE required
- Repetitive Lifting/Pushing/Pulling up to 25lbs.
- Lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Hazardous Equipment
- Using Hands on Objects, Tools, or Controls
- Bending or Twisting the Body
Qualification Requirements: - Ability to read part prints
