Job description
Euronet Software Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Euronet based in Little Rock, AR, develops and evolves the payment technologies and ATM software needed to power Euronet’s global operations and leading financial institutions and central banks worldwide. We are hiring a Technical Writer for our Little Rock location.
Under general supervision, the Technical Writer is responsible for creating user, technical, and installation manuals. This process involves writing and editing documentation based on information gathered by working closely with software developers, architects, product managers, and quality assurance personnel, as well as performing independent research. The Technical Writer participates in the development of departmental procedures, training, and standards.
· Project Management
- Complete assigned projects/tasks on or before agreed time.
- Report accurate task status.
- Identify and communicate to the Documentation Manager issues that can or will jeopardize the task.
· Technical Writing
- Collect information and draft content for user and installation manuals by coordinating with in-person and remote Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Learn Euronet products to independently research and verify information gathered from sources.
- Adhere to company’s standards to design the content and layout of documentation.
- Write with a focus on grammar, punctuation, content, and usability.
· Documentation Editing
- Edit user and technical manuals, API, and user help content for completeness of information.
- Identify errors within the documentation.
- Ensure documentation standards are met.
· Documentation Distribution
- Locate and provide the appropriate manuals based on internal and external requests.
- Maintain documentation library on Confluence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, or 4 years comparable experience.
- Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and screenshot/video capture tools such as SnagIt.
- Ability to collaborate with team members, as well as independently.
- Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and react positively.
- Ability to communicate professionally with software architects and developers, as well as QA personnel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use the rules of good writing.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work.
- Comfortable learning to use Euronet products to independently research and verify information provided by software architects and programmers, as well as QA personnel.
- Experience with web development a plus.
- Experience with writing documentation for a software development organization a plus.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools a plus.
- Knowledge of card processing and electronic financial transactions, desired.
