Job Title: Accounting Manager/Controller
Pay: $90k - $150k Depending on experience
Location: San Jose, CA 95111
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: M to F, 8 am to 5 pm / 7 am to 4 pm, 100% on-site

Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager/Controller performs a wide range of responsibilities. The Accounting
Manager/Controller must be able to prioritize projects and is expected to have a strong handle on multi-
tasking. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Accounts Receivable:
1. Creation and mailing of customer Invoices (billing);
2. Receipt and Record of customer payments;
3. Handling of deposits to the Bank;
4. Contact customers regarding delinquent payments;
5. File a mechanics lien if customer has not paid within the 90 day period.
II. Accounts Payable:
1. Receive invoices and process for payment;
2. Payment and filing of Invoices once approved by James Adam.
3. Complete vendor credit applications;
4. Produce annual 1099 and 1096.
III. Payroll
1. Review payroll entry from Office Manager;
2. Make adjustments for other required deductions;
3. Print payroll checks, Pay Payroll taxes and print all required reports;
4. Review and pay 401K contributions;
5. Complete quarterly and annual payroll reports;
6. Produce annual employee W-2 & W-3.
IV. Financials
1. Produce a weekly report showing all accounting active for the week;
2. Produce monthly financials.
V. Other Accounting Duties:
1. Reconcile bank statements;
2. Budgets;
3. Review customer contracts;
4. 571-L Business Property Tax Statement;
5. Prepare accounting books for our outside accountants;
6. Department of Motor Vehicles annual heavy license fee;
7. Maintain all accounting files, folders and binders;
8. Any and all accounting tasks that might arise.
VI. Sales Support (as needed);
1. Review estimators job proposals and email and mail to customers;
2. Open job folders;
3. Processing of lien requirements;
4. Insurance certificates.
VII. Other Duties
1. Answer phones and route calls;
2. Maintain all credit cards;
3. Provide assistance, as required, to operations personnel;
4. Assist in other office support as needed.
Job Requirements – Minimum Qualifications:
Work Environment:
The client is a construction-based environment with a casual dress code. The job consists of approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
