ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reporting to the CSE Purchasing Manager, the Procurement Buyer assists
Chico State faculty, project directors and their staff with the timely purchase of goods and services in
compliance with CSE and CSU policies. Using excellent communication and customer service skills,
serve as an integral team member within the CSE administrative operations.

with key suppliers. Support obtaining materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent
with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need. Execute quotes, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders. Negotiate vendor contracts
ensuring the inclusion of complete and accurate specifications, terms, and conditions. proper project accounts, proper approval authorities, and other criteria. Confirm shipping
schedules and monitor open purchase orders. Provide updates to requesters.

BENEFITS:
