Job description
R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Research Associate in South San Francisco, CA .
Your main responsibilities as a Research Associate :
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual keen on utilizing structural mass spectrometry, specifically hydrogen-deuterium exchange (HX or HDX), to analyze interactions between small molecules and target proteins.
The ideal candidate will support early discovery research through HDX and collaborate closely with computational scientists using the resulting data for structural predictions.
This role's primary responsibilities revolve around conducting and analyzing various hydrogen exchange experiments on an assortment of cellular protein targets through mass spectrometry.
Detailed knowledge of mass spectrometry and the standard tools utilized in protein biochemistry is a necessity for this role.

What we are looking for in a Research Associate :
This role requires a comprehensive command of the basic lab skills needed to modify and implement generic protein biochemistry workflows for specific situations.
Such skills may include the ability to perform buffer exchange, measure concentrations, carry out serial dilutions, and prepare buffers.
Previous experience with mass spectrometry and chromatographic separations is a requirement.
Experience with robotics, hydrogen exchange experiments, and/or computer programming in python would be an added advantage.

$82,888 $122,532 ( Dependent on Experience)
