ABOUT THIS TEMP POSITION

This is a temporary position and the length of assignment is estimated to go from February through the spring. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business needs and dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with. The role is based in our Merced office onsite Monday-Friday. Bilingual Spanish/English is required to be successful in this role

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position: 

• Performs general office duties, including creating documents, composing correspondence, setting up tracking procedures, distributing paychecks, filing, and assisting with mailing and deliveries
• Backs up the reception function. Greeting and assisting all visitors and callers, including employees, members, providers and members of the public, and directing visitors and callers to the appropriate department or staff member
• upholds customer service and support for our members 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Knowledge of:
  • General administrative procedures and standard business office practices and equipment 
  • Principles and practices of customer service
  • Principles and practices of facilities maintenance
• Ability to:
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy and demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Coordinate the work of contractors and vendors
  • Produce organized, accurate and detail oriented work and maintain accurate records, files and documentation
• Education and Experience:
• • High school graduation and a minimum of four years of experience performing administrative support and coordination activities which included some facilities maintenance coordination responsibilities (an Associate’s degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
  • Experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying

OTHER DETAILS

• Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened as of May 2, 2022 and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
• Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Merced County Pay Range

$17.85—$28.56 USD
