Are you an associate licensed mental health therapist based in NewConnecticut and passionate about assisting children and adolescents? The Center for NeuroPotential is looking for a proficient Associate Therapist to join our team. We provide accommodating working hours, referral options, and the chance to use evidence-based, neuroscience-backed treatments. We are predominantly in search of a veteran clinician, such as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, ideally bilingual in English and Spanish. We are desirous of somebody with the training, or even the potential to acquire training, in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Ego States Work/IFS, Expressive Arts Therapies, soma-based therapy, and Attachment-focused treatments. Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic services to patients from childhood to adulthood
- Participate in the delivery of quality care
- Seek professional development and learn new skills
- Monitor and guide clients during neurofeedback sessions
- Familiarize oneself with neurofeedback and participate in weekly Neurofeedback Clinical Rounds
- Engage in consultations with an EMDRIA Certified Consultant
- Work towards becoming certified in EMDR
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management aptitudes
- Remain available and responsive to patient and team needs
- Complete assigned duties and paperwork promptly
- Follow all licensure requirements, such as acquiring CEUs
- Take all necessary training courses (e.g., HIPAA)
- Facilitate psychotherapy for motivated clients of all ages
- Contribute to delivering excellent care
- Demonstrate an eagerness for professional growth and knowledge
- Maintain autonomy within the clinical setting, with the support of the practice
- Collaborate with the rest of the team and maintain an open dialogue
- Be flexible in order to meet patient and team needs
- Uphold all licensure and training requirements
- Stay current on neurofeedback and EMDR cert
Qualifications:
- Expertise in brain-based therapies across the lifespan is desired
- Willingness to pursue EMDR training is desirable
- Knowledge of attachment, ego states, and early trauma is preferable
- Being bilingual is preferred
- Possessing openness to new techniques is essential
- Flexibility to respond to changing clinical needs is necessary
- Possessing a passion and experience in treating trauma
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to enter patient data into an EHR in a timely manner
- Demonstrating enthusiasm for professional growth
- Seeking a challenging environment to optimize development
- Desired qualifications include expertise in brain-based therapies across the lifespan
- Having the willingness to obtain training in EMDR is an advantage
- Preference is given to those with knowledge of attachment, ego states, and early trauma
- Fluency in multiple languages is beneficial

- Necessary qualifications include the ability to adjust to shifting clinical needs
