Job description

Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Corporate Security team over the summer. As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our Corporate Security department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge.

Overall focus of the intern role would be to see all the different levels and layers of security in a corporate and retail environment. This would span from interacting and working with contract guard staff, daily tasks of card access administration, camera technology and administration, incident reporting, and the role of the security professional in both corporate and retail settings. These roles will give the base for the goal of understanding a risk assessment process and mitigating and managing identified risks.

Requirements

• HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent Required
• Current student or recent graduate pursing a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, IT, or related area of study required 

• Preferred focus in criminal justice or other security related degree.
• Technical skills with computers and understanding of network and/or physical security related tech terminology' preferred.
