Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world’s largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Business Intelligence Intern.
Rotation schedule will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site
Responsibilities:
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Work with the BI Team and internal customers to understand business problems and assist in developing and executing solutions through data
• Extract and consolidate data from various data sources and formats
• Develop Power BI applications to report and record data from various processes across the site
• Create and automate data engineering pipelines
• Support the development of database tables and views
• Create system monitoring analytics and metrics
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field
• General exposure to at least one of: DAX, M, SQL, Python, or any other programming language; and able to quickly learn one or more of the languages listed
• Abilities in Power BI, or demonstrated ability to learn the program
• Strong interpersonal communication, written and verbal skills
• Able to take and complete individual assignments
• Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively across all levels of the business
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
