Job description
Taylor Hospitality is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Cook to join or culinary team at The Institute of Advanced Learning and Research. The ideal candidate will bring culinary passion, attention to detail, and a commitment to consistency in delivering exceptional dishes to our guests.
Line Cooks are responsible for providing our Guests a Gold Standard dining experience by producing delicious, high quality food through recipe execution and gold standard plating that highlights the exceptional quality of our food.
Compensation: $15.00-$16.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- Set up cook station.
- Prepare and execute menu items according to our recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service
- Restock, clean, maintain and restock cook station items as needed throughout the shift, while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas, adhering to proper food storage procedures.
- Keep track of and report all food that is wasted.
- Assist in ingredient prep, portion control, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Contribute creative ideas for daily and seasonal specials.
- Communicate effectively with fellow cooks and other team members.
- Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.
- Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong Culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
- Attention to detail in presentation, flavor & consistency
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including some weekends and evenings.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn with a passion for the culinary arts.
