The PACU Nurse Director will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. They will develop and enforce policies for provision of safe and effective patient care, provide leadership to nurse managers and staff, and manage financial performance/departmental budget. Additionally, the PACU Director will provide ongoing education and training to PACU staff to keep them up-to-date with best practices and new technologies.
The ideal PACU Nurse Director candidate will have their BSN and several years of hospital leadership experience within specialty. A masters degree is not required, but is preferred.
