Contract Coordinator - Managed Care

Job description
Supporting new and renegotiated contracts for Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals and Inpatient Rehabilitation facilities Managed Care contracting departments.
- Contract Management:
- Contract rollouts and notifications to all applicable Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals and Inpatient Rehabilitation facilities Operations team members, Finance, Credentialing, and Billing staff for assigned Outpatient Services
- Input data from contract terms into the Payor Information System / Contract Lifecycle Management System
- Complete mail merges and letter mailings and correspondence to contracted payors as necessary
- Filing and file maintenance
- Participate in Contract Lifecycle System projects as needed
- Maintain reference files on Department Shared Drive, i.e. fee schedule spreadsheets, per diem contracted rates, etc. for assigned services
- Payor issue resolution for assigned services:
- Assist with billing issues as needed
- Assist with payor escalation and urgent service matters as needed
- Assist staff with research of various payor issues
- Credentialing for assigned services
- Coordinate and complete credentialing required during time of negotiation and as required thereafter
- Gather payor information – schedules, manuals, bulletins, etc.
- Review payor communications for updates to our business line and communicate to Director of Managed Care for research/distribution to appropriate staff
- Data mining and reporting for assigned services
- Maintain and distribute monthly and quarterly activity summary reports
- Input data and maintain database for contract log and single case agreement logs
- Record all managed care department activity (new agreements, updated agreements, COLA’s, Charge Master changes) update, maintain and distribute reports for Contracting Department
- Department administration and coordination
- Handle requests for routine information
- Conduct research and compile data as requested
- Assist other Contracting Department staff as needed
- Assist with onboarding and training manual for new employees
- Assist in developing processes and procedures for the department and it's systems
- Maintain and update market assignments by Director of Managed Care.

Required :
- High School and/or some post-secondary education, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in an office or healthcare administration setting.
- Strong project management skills. Strong attention to details, timelines and follow-through
- Collaborative and positive manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with minimal instructions and supervision. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in the most effective/results oriented order
- Required to be proficient in Windows-based office technologies (Word, Excel, ACCESS, Power Point)
- Strong medical terminology and knowledge of the managed care/provider business environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to cope with internal and external pressure to complete such tasks in a timely manner
Preferred :
- Office management experience
