Job description
SunSource and its family of companies represent 200+ locations and 3,000+ employees making up one of North America's leading value-add industrial distribution companies. We provide customers with products and solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Service & Repair.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy, this role will lead enterprise-wide corporate communications. This senior level person will be responsible for articulating a consistent brand image in the marketplace and leading internal communications. Ideally, this role will bridge strategy, marketing, and human resources to convey the SunSource narrative, fostering awareness, transparency, and a strong culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategy to build and maintain positive and consistent brand in the marketplace
- Maintain annual communication plan and regular cadence with key functional and business leaders
- Foster organizational transparency by providing consistent and timely information to employees, including corporate updates, holidays, wellness, benefits, employee engagement, ESG, and cultural initiatives
- Collaborate with marketing and product managers to create and promote commercial insights, tools, training, and resources to enhance sales productivity, including industry overviews, competitive analysis, success stories, digital tools, and product deep-dives
- Partner with HR to support talent acquisition and employee recognition through the promotion of open roles, new hires, promotions, awards, and our cultural and strategic pillars
Experience, Education and Skills - 2 Year Technical degree or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing or communications
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and/or corporate communications
- Ability to set direction, collaborate and work across multiple business units and stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing comprehensive corporate communication plans
- Ability to conduct research, interpret data and create primary content
- Project management and organization skills to plan and execute simultaneous initiatives
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and marketing-related software
