Job description
FSLA Qualification: Exempt
Position Purpose: To be a leader in the implementation and support of technology integration with curriculum.
Essential Functions:
- Assist teachers in developing, maintaining, and delivering instructional resources through the integration of modern technologies
- Collaborate with the Director of Innovation, Director of Academic Technology, and Director of Curriculum to develop and implement innovative projects across grade levels
- Model and encourage an innovative and creative learning environment with students and faculty focusing on the essential skills of collaboration, creation, critical thinking, communication and curiosity
- Assist with the implementation and management of instructional software
- Assist with professional development for faculty and staff
- Ensure the vertical alignment of digital literacy by facilitating lessons throughout various grade levels
- Research new thinking and affordances of educational technology to stay current with new and changing trends.
- Assist with parent education meetings for the start and end of school as well as support throughout the school year.
- Instructional responsibilities for one or more middle school elective or exploration courses
- Partner with the Director of Innovation on design challenges and technology innovation projects within SPARQ.
- Assist in troubleshooting technology challenges across campus
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with constituents from the entire school community.
- Ability to define problems and implement appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Google Workspace for Education
- Educational background to evaluate courseware.
- Bachelor’s degree required, teaching certification preferred
- Specialized training or equivalent experience in instructional technology is preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Generally works in standard office conditions and climate.
- Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
- May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
