Job description

Recently built, Comfort Suites Loveland is seeking a maintenance engineer for our beautiful hotel. The engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance team, preventative maintenance, safety, and security of the hotel, the employees, and customers. Coordinate and performs routine, preventive, and emergency interior/exterior maintenance and repairs to obtain high levels of customer satisfaction and optimum efficiency for the operation. Supervise, train, assign, and delegate work orders or projects and inspect the work quality of maintenance teams. Make suggestions regarding performance, talent, challenges, and process improvements. This role is also responsible for overseeing the hotel operations in the absence of the hotel managers and MOD.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel rooms and equipment, including laundry, pool, hot tubs, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.

· Respond to all emergencies, including fire alarms, disasters, and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities.

· Direct all emergency programs; ensure all equipment is maintained; conduct inspections and drills; ensure compliance with all codes and regulations.

· Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.

· Actively participate in any applicable energy conservation programs.

· Maintain cleanliness and appropriate safety and chemical levels of pool and hot tubs.

· Respond to and handle guest requests courteously, efficiently, and safely.

· Direct all Emergency Programs; ensure all equipment is maintained; conduct inspections and drills; ensure compliance with all codes and regulations.

· Direct all safety programs to include chemical safety, lock out tag out, and OSHA requirements.

· Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.

· Ensure all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per standards.

· Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas. Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings, and maintain logs to notify the next shift.

· Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased. Keep an operating par and inventory of replacement items most used.

· Assist with administrating all vendor contracts controlled by the engineering department.

· Maintain proper records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program and the Request Program.

· Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations.

· Report any unsafe conditions to leadership.

· Assist with maintenance of the parking lot and snow removal as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

· Supervise maintenance team to include

· Runs errands as needed, driving own or company vehicle, to drop off and pick up supplies, equipment, and furnishings.

· Assist other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.

· Provide training to new property-level support as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Frequently bend and kneel to perform inspections and repairs.

· Respond quickly to emergencies - 100% mobility required.

· Continuously stand and climb stairs for approximately 40% of 8 hours.

· Climb ladders of approximately 8 feet 10% of 8 hours.
