Position brief

EcoPlant is seeking a talented Tech Specialist / System Engineer with IoT / QA / PLC  background to join our Center of Excellence team. We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company that specializes in providing energy management solutions for industrial plants. As a Tech Specialist, you will play a critical role in our continued growth and success by bridging the gap between our R&D team and our customer-facing field teams worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge IIoT devices, including sensors, gateways, and cloud services, and collaborate closely with our R&D and Product teams to address our field technological needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead/escalation point for our field technical teams and partners in implementations at customer sites globally
• Provide support and maintenance for deployments at customer issues
• Act as a Tier 3 support and tech specialist to our field teams and partners address field and customers related issues 
• Leverage R&D team as escalation to resolve customer-driven issues, perform system and sanity tests, ensure that customer issues are resolved on a timely fashion
• Reproduce and fix complex issues found in the field in our lab environment
• Work closely with our Product team to reflect field-driven feedback needs and help drive priority
• Support R&D team when investigating complex issue by establishing a lab setup, reproducing issues and investigating field logs 
• Train our field teams, partners and customer success team on new features and ongoing operation of our Ecoplant 360 platform and back office tools to enable efficient  installation, configuration, optimization and troubleshooting Tier 1 + 2 issues.
• Ensure quality and compliance of our IIoT deployment by tracking and monitoring or system platform and back office tools
• Enrich and grow our asset database with integration of new field assets (compressors, sensors, PLC, etc)

Requirements

• Communication/electronics degree or equivalent experience 
• Understanding of fundamental concepts of control systems 
• Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripts
• Knowledge of network systems and IT 
• Excellent English proficiency is a must
• Highly Desired 
  • Experience in IoT devices, including sensors, gateways, Saas Platform 
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, etc.
  • CCNA certified
