Job description
Position Overview: The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of the company's sales and marketing strategies. This position requires excellent knowledge of the lumber industry, as well as the ability to effectively manage and lead a team of sales and marketing professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies
- Identify and target new potential customers
- Manage and lead a team of sales and marketing professionals
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and vendors
- Analyze sales and marketing trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Develop new business and increase existing business opportunities
- Develop and oversee marketing campaigns and materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or related field
- At least five years of experience in B2B sales and marketing
- Extensive knowledge of the lumber industry and woodworking processes
- Experience with log, mill, and woodworking machinery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Business development experience is a plus
