POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Application Administrator to join our team. As an Application Administrator, you will be responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and support of our organization's critical applications. Your expertise will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our application portfolio, enabling our employees to work efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Management: Take ownership of the organization's application portfolio, including installation, configuration, customization, and ongoing maintenance of applications across multiple environments.
System Monitoring and Performance: Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address issues to ensure optimal system functionality. Conduct regular performance testing and tuning activities.
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues, and offer guidance and training as needed.
Application Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect applications and data from unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and policies.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides. Generate reports on system performance, usage, and maintenance activities.
Upgrades and Patches: Coordinate and perform application upgrades, applying patches and updates to ensure applications are up to date and operating efficiently.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements, resolve issues, and optimize application performance.
Change Management: Manage the change control process for applications, ensuring changes are properly documented, tested, and implemented without disrupting production environments.
Vendor Management: Interact with application vendors to resolve technical issues, coordinate support and maintenance activities, and stay informed about upcoming releases and enhancements.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and trends related to application administration. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong technical knowledge of application administration, installation, configuration, and support.
Proficiency in managing applications running on various platforms, such as Windows, Linux, Virtualization, or cloud-based environments.
Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of security practices and protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What will make you a good fit for the role?
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
Proven experience as an Application Administrator or similar role.
Proven experience with building management systems (electrical, mechanical, environmental) as well as physical security controls (cameras, biometrics, badging)
Experience with corporate application administration (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Jira, Salesforce a plus
Experience with systems administration across multiple disciplines (Storage, Linux, Windows, Virtualization)
Demonstrated experience of the functional aspects of the application or system
Demonstrated experience of business processes and associated technology
Demonstrated experience in providing technical guidance for the planning, design implementation of enterprise applications
Demonstrated experience in client engagement
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, bending, and lifting
Able to hear and speak on a telephone
Close visual work on a computer terminal, whiteboards, printed documents, and blueprints
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments
Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
Able to climb a ladder and work on a raised platform
WORK CONDITIONS
This position is expected to be remote with occasional need to be on-site in a shared workspace.
Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer; construction sites; confined locations with IT equipment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is
$85,000 - $126,000.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
