Job description

As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in bookkeeping processes and software.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recording Financial Transactions:
   • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in the accounting system.
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using appropriate accounting software.
2. Accounts Reconciliation:
   • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
   • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
   • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
   • Issue invoices to clients for services rendered and follow up on outstanding receivables.
4. Payroll Processing:
   • Calculate and process employee payroll, including wages, taxes, and deductions.
   • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and timely submission of payroll taxes.
5. Financial Reporting:
   • Prepare and generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
   • Assist in analyzing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making processes.
6. Tax Preparation and Compliance:
   • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns.
   • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
7. Communication and Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with other members of the finance team and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
   • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
