Job description

Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, a sophisticated business and litigation law firm, is seeking a motivated junior attorney or 2023 law graduate seeking admission to the bar to join its litigation team. The successful candidate can be based in either Providence, Rhode Island or New Bedford, Massachusetts. This position will have the opportunity to undertake substantial responsibility and work with numerous experienced attorneys who provide high-quality and personalized training.


Minimum Qualifications:

• 0-3 years' experience in litigation.
• Admission to the Massachusetts or Rhode Island Bar (preferably both), or a pending application to the bar.
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials (or candidacy for such a degree).
• Strong research, drafting, writing, and communication skills.

• Comfortable communicating with clients in a professional, practical, open and level-headed manner, even when dealing with highly sensitive issues.
• Comfortable engaging with colleagues in frank and open discussions regarding best approaches for achieving client goals.
• Ability to work on urgent matters in a timely fashion.
• Ambition to pursue a long career in private practice.
• Willing to work with a collaborative in-office team most of the time at our Providence, RI or New Bedford, MA offices.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Judicial Clerkship
• Experience in a litigation practice of a peer firm
• Experience representing a range of clients in complex corporate and commercial disputes.
