Job description
We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our manufacturing team! As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining PLC, HMI, and other controls engineering solutions in order to ensure efficient production and quality control. As a Controls Engineer you will start a project at the beginning and follow it through final customer installation acceptance. You will review customer specifications, standards / past projects, and work with a team of hardware engineers in designing the complete controls portion of the machine (electrical, fluids, and pneumatics). You are responsible to work with software engineers to develop software using customer standards, past projects and developing new software. You will be responsible for producing a quality design on schedule, getting customer acceptance, reviewing panel build, and assisting as required while the machine is being built and debugged.
- Extensive experience creating control hardware and software.
- Competent in logic programming for the majority of PLC and HMI systems - Understanding and adherence to customer specifications as well as local and federal norms for automated equipment. - Plan, manage, and coordinate work efforts on specified projects, including the creation of precise engineering schedules. - Participate in the necessary meetings to gain an understanding of the upcoming project and the development of key dates for project completion. - Perform field service (both domestic and international) as needed. Complete detailed field service reports.- Salary: $90,000 - $130,000
