The primary responsibility of this position is to provide assistance for different traffic management systems that are used to ensure safe traffic and driving conditions in Pennsylvania. This includes conducting research and analysis on current and past traffic congestion, as well as predicting future traffic patterns to make recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the role involves delivering training to traffic system operators and conducting audits to ensure compliance with quality control standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework:  You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Traffic Control Specialist Trainee; or 
• Two years as a Traffic Control Technician; or
• One year of experience in traffic control work; and a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, civil engineering, or a closely related field; or  
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a current driver's license that is not under suspension.
