Overview The Chief Technology Officers role is to align technology vision with business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies. The Chief Technology Officer is also responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing innovative technology initiatives within the organization. The incumbent provides oversight of existing enterprise systems, while providing guidance related to all technology-related issues in support of information security principles, operations efficiency, and core company values.
Responsibilities - Has ultimate responsibility for the organization's technology strategy (ie. o rganizations systems architecture, telecommunications, networks, media, on-premises and cloud computing environments) and will serve as a key member of the Senior IT Leadership team.
- Develops short- and long-term technology strategies meant to assist the organization in meeting business objectives.
- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain technology plans and related budgets that support organizational needs.
- Develop and communicate business/technology alignment plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.
- Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations.
- Establishes and enforces standards relating to the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of purchased or internally built technology solutions.
- Stays informed of emerging technologies and evaluates their value to the organization.
- Works with product management/development teams to define long-term roadmaps for technical products or product lines.

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required
- Master's degree is preferred
- 10-12 years of relevant experience
- 5 or more years experience working in Defense Industry preferred
- Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, including cloud computing and services.
- Proven experience as the head of IT or similar executive role.
- Excellent knowledge of technology environments, ie. telecommunications, networks, programming, data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
- Ability to develop and mentor others. Leadership skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
