Kelly Services top client is seeking a Planner/Scheduler
/Responsibilities:
Planner is responsible for securing supply of spare parts for iOS and Mac devices. A planner must have strong analytical capabilities, planning and supply chain management expertise, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply issues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Planners must be creative problem solvers who can drive continuous improvement.
Type: Contract W2$50.00-$57.00p/r
Essential Functions:
Own the detailed plan of when and how to secure supply of assigned materials to deliver near perfect parts availability for customers
Review daily reports and act on supply shortages immediately to minimize customer impact
Interpret and analyze the usage history, forecast, and maintain supply plans for all parts using spreadsheets and corporate planning system.
Complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for any supply gaps
Complete detailed analysis of weekly system purchase recommendations
Ensure the planning system is properly configured for each part
Balance inventory across global warehouse locations to avoid or minimize customer impacts.
Optimize plans to minimize cost while still maintaining target service levels.
Present status to management weekly on top supply issues.
Actively participate in regular cross functional meetings.
Key Qualifications:
Ability to analyze, think and act quickly and decisively in crisis situations.
Ability to effectively triage and act on critical supply issues daily.
Keen analytical and Microsoft Excel capabilities
Ability to formulate and execute ad hoc analyses rapidly under time pressure
Expertise in using solver-based planning tools and SAP
Clear and prompt communication to management and peers (email + in-person)
Effective time management to balance multiple priorities. Prioritize action items in real-time based on customer impact and cost.
Project management skills to identify and implement process improvements to business processes, systems, or analysis tools.
