Job Overview The Associate Director, Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Sequel Med Tech's groundbreaking insulin pump. Reporting directly to the VP, Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to ensure successful product launch and sustained market growth.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties - Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with business objectives, ensuring a cohesive and impactful market presence.
- Product Launch Management : Lead the planning and execution of the insulin pump launch, including coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure a successful market entry.
- Market Research : Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities, trends, and potential challenges, informing marketing strategies and ensuring a competitive edge in the diabetes care landscape.
- Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of the Sequel Med Tech brand, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and materials.
- Campaign Development : Create and manage integrated marketing campaigns that encompass digital, traditional, and social media channels, targeting healthcare professionals, patients, and key stakeholders.
- Vendor Management : Select and manage marketing agencies and other partner vendors, clearly communicating Sequel’s brand vision and managing budgets, timelines and project execution.
- Collaboration with Key Stakeholders : Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, and other relevant stakeholders to drive product adoption and brand loyalty.
- Budget Management : Effectively manage marketing budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring maximum ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Team Leadership : Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture while ensuring the team's goals align with the overall company objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience; MBA is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in marketing roles within or supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proven track record of successfully launching and marketing medical devices or related products.
- Strong understanding of the diabetes care landscape and experience working with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to effectively manage a team.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
