Job description
Canyons Church, in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, is a well-established, conservative, friendly community of Christ-followers located in the Salt Lake Valley. We enjoy traditional and contemporary worship services (in English, a service in Spanish, and sign language translation) live as well as live-streamed. What draws us together is our love for the Word of God, and our relationship with Jesus. Therefore, our congregation longs to grow in living out our faith in God, in understanding our Bibles, and in teaching families and friends about who He really is!
Weekly attendance is 300 across morning services, and about 150 in Bible Classes. We host a variety of Bible studies during the week, led by members. We are currently pastor led and congregationally governed, and Bylaws will be provided upon request.
We are searching for a full-time Senior Pastor who embraces the Biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4. We hold to the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000 and expect our candidates to do the same. Please respond if you are interested, understanding that beyond those basics, we desire the heart of a shepherd who wants to serve Canyons long term, not just an administrator.

• Expository preaching and living out the gospel message as preached
• Supporting established ministries of our church and opportunities for fellowship
• Excited to be involved with our local community and other like-minded churches
• Decision-making that is Biblical, even when it means denying self
• Maturity in church governance and pastoring
• Degree in a divinity-related study
