The IT Analyst works to support and sustain IT operations and infrastructure projects. This includes the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of PC client hardware, network infrastructure, and other systems and hardware as assigned. Utilize and deploy technology solutions for end users in the company such that the goals of the business are enabled by that technology. Will leverage their general knowledge of computers, software and IT infrastructure and operate with some supervision. Assignments will be generally routine with low to average complexity. Reports to Sr. IT Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sustaining IT operations and uptime including through tasks such as:
- Setup, installation and support of PC client hardware and software
- Network cabling installation and support
- Backup/Recovery support
- End user training on software and hardware, technology changes, etc.
- Documentation as directed
- On average 80% of work activity focuses on sustaining IT operations and end-user support
- Take initiative under general direction on providing technical solutions to business problems within a team environment.
- Provide first level support and administration for Luxor software environments including NetSuite, SalesForce, and other tools.
- Executes PC/laptop client deployments or relocations per current standards set by EBSCO CorpIT
- Participate in projects:
- Proactively communicate to manager when project tasks and timelines cannot be met.
- Participate in technology software/hardware selection process.
- Provide high levels of customer service to the internal customer.
- IT Purchasing and Management:
- Maintain appropriate asset records in IT’s asset inventory.
- Manage and lead problem resolution with vendor technical support.
- Report status of tasks and projects on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow policies, procedures, and technical direction. Assist in writing policies, procedures, and standards.

- Security standards and procedures
- IT and Luxor | EBSCO policies, procedures, and methodologies in general
- Adherence and continual improvement to change control standards, policies and procedures, including SOP’s, testing and training procedures.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- “Customer First” bias and mentality
- Ability to manage competing priorities and requests.
- PC/laptop support skills including installation, imaging, desktop management, software installation and configuration, and troubleshooting, including remote troubleshooting.
- Intermediate Windows version 10 and 11 desktop administration skills required, Mac administration skills strongly preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office 365 installation, configuration, and support ability
- Working knowledge of computer peripherals, including web cameras and PC peripherals,
- Basic to Intermediate configuration, administration and support of networked and local printers and scanners
- Basic to Intermediate desktop support for Antivirus, Anti-Malware, Authentication (SSO, Two Factor Authentication) and other network security software and protocols.
- Basic IP Phone system knowledge
- Basic WAN/LAN knowledge
- Attention to detail and documentation.
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new software systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Work History Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 Years of on-the-job experience in this type of role
- Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent work experience
