The Oracle Data Center’s Organization is growing rapidly. The OCI footprint has grown over 400% in the last 2 years and is on track to exceed that growth trend in the next 2 years. The OCI organization is the physical infrastructure support team that provides operational, logistical and compliance support for Oracle Data Center’s globally.

The Team – Program Management, Audit, Security & Safety Team ( PASS )

The Program Management, Audit, Security & Safety Team ( PASS ) provides compliance services for Audit, Physical Security, Access Management, and Environment, Health & Safety for the OCI organization. The PASS team operates at a global scale supporting all stages of the data center lifecycle from market selection through build to operations and ultimately, decommission.

The Role – AMER / LAD Environment, Health & Safety Program Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Environment Health and Safety Program Manager, specializing in data center operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Environment Health and Safety Compliance Program Management throughout the data center lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on supporting the Global team of EHS Specialists to deliver safety work environments and ensuring Compliance Build Requirements are met. You will be responsible for ticket management, specialist support, and coordination of documentation and engagement for designated regional areas.

Day In the Life

+ 7:00 am – 8:00 am: Start the day with an early morning meeting with stakeholders from the EMEA region. Discuss ongoing projects, address any concerns or updates and ensure alignment on security goals.

+ 8:00 am – 11:00 am: Participate in US and EMEA build calls to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security protocols are followed during construction activities.

+ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Manage emails, ticketing system and handle any slack inquires.

+ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch Break Stretches to reset your body.

+ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Attend stakeholder meetings with teams from JAPAC and AMER regions. Discuss ongoing projects, address any concerns or updates and ensure alignment on safety goals.

+ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Allocate time for ticketing system management and wrap up any pending tasks. Address any outstanding safety concerns or requests.

Throughout the day, maintain open communication with stakeholders, address inquiries promptly, and collaborate with teams to ensure a safe and compliant environment within the data centers.

Required Skills/Experience The Ideal Candidate

+ The right candidate will have years of experience in building programs and related processes to support a diverse global work group.

+ Have a track record of large-scale service accountability from multiple downline SMEs, ensuring delivery of SLA -based services.

+ Candidate(s) need to demonstrate a strong ability to navigate rapidly changing work scope and the ability to lead with experience and expertise.

+ Work as a point of coordination for gathering data and information related to ticket management within the build phases, continuous monitoring, or risk management areas.

+ Have a working understanding of regulatory compliance in relation to program management.

+ Help drive continuous review of existing standards and processes to ensure they align with regulatory requirements or corporate requirements.

+ Drive notification, reporting, escalation, and resolution of EHS risk, incidents, and findings within OCI .

+ Experience and working knowledge of Data Centers preferred.

+ Familiarity with health & safety practices and/or regulatory compliance preferred.

Required Skills

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

+ 5 years of related experience

+ Ability to work with diverse groups across multiple time zones and countries

+ Proficient in MS Office Tools

+ Project and relationship management skills

+ Be comfortable with ambiguity, consistent change, and strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

As the Health and Safety Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with the SME EHS to delivery effective communication and service delivery among diverse groups with varying priorities and work methodologies in addition to diverse geographic locations. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will be crucial in connecting individuals and fostering collaborative efforts. The partnership with the Global EHS Team is critical to the delivery of excellence in work safety at Oracle Data Centers.

You will play a pivotal role in providing clarity of mission for site-level folks, as well as educational support and valuable insights related to Health and Safety matters. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, driven, and results oriented. This is not a Health & Safety Specialist role – it is centered on Data Center Program Management and the delivery of EHS Services. We are looking for someone who thrives on identifying program gaps and enabling the best, most user-friendly EHS solutions for our internal and external customers. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong relationship building skills. Your ability to effectively collaborate with remote teams and provide educational support will be essential in ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe working environment within our data centers.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
