Job description
The Account Manager Associate works directly with leaders in the specialty contracting industry to gain knowledge through a “hands-on” training program that combines work in the office, at job sites, at client offices, and at other locations throughout the assigned territory. The goal of our Associate program is to help new employees develop the skills they need to become successful Project Managers with their own customers and projects to manage.
The successful Account Manager Associate will learn the role of an Account Manager, which includes a diverse range of responsibilities, from estimating and proposal development to contract sales and project management. A typical day may include preparing estimates and proposals in the morning, taking a customer out to lunch, and then visiting project sites in the afternoon to review construction progress and troubleshoot any issues.
- Learn best practices in environmental health and safety to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policy, and customer expectations
- Learn how to provide outstanding customer service that secures a pipeline of repeat business
- Learn how to interpret specifications and perform material take-offs from construction drawings
- Learn how to prepare cost estimates utilizing estimating software or field take-offs
- Learn how to p lan and coordinate with the field workforce for successful project execution
- Learn how to manage project schedules, labor productivity, material costs, and margins
- Learn how to develop relationships with customers, vendors, and other industry contracts
- Learn to utilize industry-leading software tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, JD Edwards, Salesforce, Velocity EHS and others

- High School diplome or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under time constraints and meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel within assigned territory as necessary
