Summary:

Job Overview:

Commissions Analyst role partners with Sales, Renewals, Finance, Accounting and Human Resources to manage, administer and validate all commission payments and financial accruals. The role also works directly with the teams to develop, distribute and administer quotas and compensation plans. The Commissions Analyst will be a key member of the Sales Operations team within the Sales organization at Rocket Software and is responsible for the administration of sales commissions and analyzing & reporting on sales commission trends. A successful candidate possesses strong analytical skills and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

+ Support the administration, validation and payment of incentive compensation plans for all Commission eligible employees

+ Maintain data integrity within Xactly, Oracle, Salesforce.com and related systems

+ Serve as the subject matter expert on sales commission plans, policies and rationale

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and respond to issues and questions concerning incentive plan payments and policies

+ Support the implementation & documentation of new sales quotas and commission plans, leveraging key metrics to make recommendations for necessary changes to commission structures

+ Assist with the distribution of individual Quota & Compensation Plans and reporting on Attainment to Target

+ Provide proactive analytics on sales incentive results, including budget vs. actual variances; prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested

+ Streamline and automate the current processes where possible

+ Work with compensation system consultants on integrations, reporting and system updates as needed

Required Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of experience in a sales operations/finance role supporting sales incentive plan operations, preferably with a software company

+ Comfortable partnering and engaging with cross-functional teams

+ Extreme attention to detail and ability to think quickly

+ Experience with commercial software applications; Xactly experience highly desired

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues

+ Ability to excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP , macros, etc.

The base salary range for this role is $78,024.00 – $97,530.00 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
