Job description
SUMMARY:
With limited supervision, performs routine, scheduled and necessary maintenance on equipment. Completes work orders accurately as assigned. Ensures plant is operational for maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
$100 PER DIEM PLUS LODGING INCLUDED. SHIFT OPTIONS INCLUDING 14/7, 7/7.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works safely, uses appropriate PPE.
- Completes plant repair work orders.
- Performs all tasks related to preventative maintenance programs. Tasks include but are not limited to: tracking the conveyor belts and checking and inspecting tension on the conveyor belts and drive v-belts; inspecting, adjusting, and replacing the conveyor belt scrapers; walking the conveyor lines to check for bad rollers and replacing them through coordination with managers; and checking the belt splices and replacing worn or damaged splice clips. preventative maintenance and repairs to plant equipment, trunnions, gearboxes, screens etc.
- Fabricates and repairs equipment parts using welding techniques.
- Communicates inventory consumption and needs to inventory specialist to ensure appropriate on-hand inventory is available.
- Trains crews in maintenance and repair techniques.
- Performs equipment walk around and operates and inspects equipment; properly cleans work area and disposes of waste.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Performs welding and cutting to patch holes in chutes and reduce spillage throughout the operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
- Computer skills- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication.
- Must have fabrication, welding and torch cutting experience.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with close supervision.
- Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high safety standards for self and others.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
- Minimum of two (2) years mechanical repair experience with a heavy emphasis on mining production facilities
