Job description

HIRING Special Education Teachers

• Full-time / 7.5-hours per day
• Onsite only
• Elementary students
• Kindergarten to Fifth (5th) graders.
• Resource classroom.
• Classroom has a full-time Teacher's Assistant (TA).
• The caseload is between 10 -12 students.
• Disabilities are mild to moderate.
• Contract
• Assignment ends on 05/22/2024.
• Able to evaluate, prepare, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Canvas and/or Chromebooks experience is preferred.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Educator's licensure from the N.C. Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI)
• Certified to teach Special Education: General Curriculum
