Faculty Psychologist Position

CARES Institute

The Child Abuse Research Education and Service (CARES) Institute at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey is currently seeking a PhD, PsyD, or EdD for a full-time faculty position with research, clinical, and supervisory experience in the field of childhood trauma.  The CARES Institute conducts cutting-edge research in the field of childhood trauma and the ideal candidate would have interest in one or more of the following potential research areas: the implementation of Trauma-focused CBT, treatment processes, dissemination of evidence-based practices, the treatment of trauma-related childhood depression, child problematic sexual behaviors, and secondary traumatic stress. Published research samples, demonstrated skills writing grants, and/or potential to attract research funding are very desirable. Clinical responsibilities include conducting assessments of children who have experienced trauma/maltreatment and providing evidence-based therapy to children and families impacted by child sexual abuse, physical abuse, and other traumas.  Additional assessment opportunities may include conducting mental health screenings for children entering foster care and comprehensive psychological evaluations in cases of unclear sexual abuse allegations.  Applicants will also be expected to provide supervision to trainees/staff and participate in diverse professional activities in collaboration with a dedicated team of multidisciplinary professionals, under the clinical direction of Esther Deblinger, PhD, co-developer of Trauma-focused CBT.

Valid NJ license or NJ license-eligible required.
