Dr. Efrain Valladolid, MD, a distinguished family medicine specialist with over 27 years of experience in the medical field, leads South Bay Family Medical Group. He is a proud alumnus of the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, class of 1995. Dr. Valladolid is dedicated to providing top-quality care to the Chula Vista community and is affiliated with the renowned Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center.
Position: Part-Time or Full-Time Medical Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in patient preparation and treatment procedures.
- Facilitate smooth patient flow by ensuring rooms are prepped in advance.
- Maintain records and documentation related to patient care.
- Ensure proper coordination and communication with physicians throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sterility of the treatment area.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certificate required
- 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a family practice setting.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with patients.
- Ability to type at a minimum speed of 35 wpm.
- Must have received all required COVID-19 vaccines.
- Demonstrated experience in teamwork; a fast learner who can adapt to the dynamic needs of a family practice.
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to provide outstanding patient care.
- Must possess basic computer skills and ability to handle electronic health records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures.
Hourly Salary Range:
- $19 - $23 (based on level of experience)
