Summary:
Goldbelt Frontier LLC is currently seeking a Stem Education Coordinator to join our team in supporting science education and professional development at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). As the Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support for a range of science education opportunities through various programs such as Gains in the Education of Mathematics and Science (GEMS), the High School Internship Program (HSIP), Near Peer Mentor (NPM) program, the Undergraduate Research Internship Program (URIP) and fellowship programs such as those under the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP), Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) and the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM).
Essential Job Functions:
Collection and Analysis of Participant Data for Science Education and Fellowship Programs Outreach. Take part in generating applications and, in concert with program staff, facilitate the subsequent selection, tracking and recording of information such as stipend data and individual participant data within AEOP/ORISE/NASEM and WRAIR databases/on-line systems, in support of aggregating participant documentation across all Science Education and Fellowship Program outreach programs/efforts. This shall include the following tasks:
Evaluation of Program Processes and Impacts. The Contractor shall perform team-based assessments of STEM research outcomes as required by COR. This shall include the following tasks:
Evaluate and Design New Programs and Training Elements. Assist with program evaluations for the benefit of designing new student programs or program training elements. This shall include the following:
Assess, Inventory, and Provide Recommendations for Teaching Equipment and Supplies. Assess supply needs and drive purchasing or acquisition of requirements, both consumables and equipment, within the curriculum. This shall include the following tasks:
Publish Program Outcomes. In collaboration with the SEFP team, publish program outcomes for presentation and publication in the peer-reviewed literature as required (annually or as program outcomes require). This shall include the following tasks:
Assist with Grant Applications. Take part in the preparation of grant applications and their submission to organizations including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), National Defense Education Program and other sponsored research organizations. This shall include the following tasks:
Maintain a Network of Relations with Educational Institutions. Maintain relationships with local public, private, and charter schools, colleges, and universities. Assist the COR, upon development of contact, in maintaining relationships via email, phone calls, and in-person meetings with educational institutions for the benefit of student participation in the AEOP, ORISE and NASEM as needed.

The salary range for the position is $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually.
