WHAT CAN RELIAS OFFER YOU?

In this role, you will serve as a senior technical lead and strategist for all major Communities & Recruitment initiatives, directly affecting our cloud infrastructure's growth and efficiency. Your expertise will guide the design, provisioning, and management of our GCP infrastructures, ensuring best practices are seamlessly integrated with our development lifecycle. You will lead by example, mentoring engineers at various levels and fostering a culture of quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. Working in partnership with our Enterprise Cloud Management group, you will be instrumental in establishing robust monitoring processes, managing downtime effectively, and driving innovation within our cloud services. Your leadership will be key in setting and achieving KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that reflect our commitment to operational excellence and a superior production environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

•             Serve as a senior technical lead for major projects, offering architectural guidance and ensuring the integration of best practices in cloud infrastructure design and deployment.

•             Mentor software engineering teams, promoting skill development and fostering a culture of excellence and dependability in cloud-based solutions.

•             Collaborate with the Enterprise Cloud Management group to oversee the provisioning, installation, configuration, and operation of GCP services and infrastructure.

•             Develop and implement automated processes for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), proactive monitoring, and management of downtime.

•             Design, document, and manage the cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

•             Lead strategic planning initiatives for the cloud infrastructure, contributing to the technical roadmap and aligning with the company’s long-term goals.

•             Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for cloud service reliability and efficiency,  and implement strategies to achieve these metrics.

•             Drive continuous improvement by staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their applicability to organizational needs.

•             Ensure compliance with security standards and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to fortify the cloud environment against potential threats.

•             Provide expert troubleshooting and end-to-end issue resolution for cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to production environments.

•             Facilitate a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and leverages cloud technologies to solve complex problems in application development and operations.

•             Represent the cloud engineering department in cross-functional meetings, effectively communicating technical concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders.

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

•             Strong Java/PHP programming foundation

•             Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform experience

•             Expertise in industry-standard PHP frameworks: Magento, WordPress, Craft, Laravel, etc.

•             Able to aid product in translating business requirements into technical details

•             Partners with Architecture & other senior stakeholders to decide systems/application infrastructure requirements in alignment to their business strategy

•             Has solid understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning

•             Proven knowledge in most of the following: GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Java/JEE and Spring Framework

•             8+ years software development

•             5+ years serving as a senior technical resource on Cloud based SaaS products

•             At least one Google Cloud certification.

•             Bachelor’s Degree

IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:

•             Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect.

•             Experience as technical lead on B2C SaaS-based product offerings on Google Cloud

•             Proficiency in designing and maintaining streamlined and performant GCP infrastructure for multiple websites working closely while working closely with Cloud Engineers in this effort

•             Advance knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days per quarter.
