Job description
Job Title: Business Analyst
Department: Louisiana Department of Public Safety
Client: State of Louisiana
Location: Baton Rouge, LA ( MUST be local to Louisiana )
Onsite/Remote: Hybrid (minimum of two (2) business days a week will work Onsite)
Duration: Six (6) months with possible extension
Visa: USC, GC
Additional Details:
- Candidate MUST have at least 15 years of overall IT experience
- Ideal candidate is someone with Public Safety processes experience.
- Candidate MUST have any government experience.
- Candidate MUST be local to Louisiana.
Core Skills: Financial and Accounting industry, PMI-PBA or CBAP, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, User Stories, Figma
Mandatory Skills:
- Three (3) years of experience in Business Analysis including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business functions, processes, and requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), writing user stories, and maintaining a healthy product backlog
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience creating requirements documentation for complex projects
- Business Analysis certifications such as PMI-PBA or CBAP
Desirable Skill:
- Experience in the Financial and Accounting industry (revenue tracking, transactions, invoicing, reconciliation)
- Experience setting up IT related projects for a team of application programmers.
- Experience prioritizing user stories.
- Experience identifying and documenting business processes contained in legacy application data systems
- Experience in quality assurance testing of application software
- Experience in creating operating procedures, user guides, and/or training material.
- Experience with wireframe/mockup applications such as Figma to foster initial design for webapps.
