RN Nurse Navigator-OP Care Center Management: Provides the coordination of pulmonary screening for at-risk populations and coordinates oncology services for lung cancer patients to address the physical, spiritual and psycho-social needs of the patient as indicated. Provides patient education, follow-up and referral to appropriate resources. Acts as a patient advocate and liaison in the coordination of timely diagnostic recall and/or follow-up services.  Serves as a resource to patients, their families and staff regarding cancer disease related issues.  Collaborates with other members of the oncology team to present pre-treatment and other educational conferences. Assists with data collection, tracking and reporting of clinical outcomes. New Grad/Nursing Administration:

• Current California RN license (BSN/MSN preferred)
• Evidence of continuing education
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education
• Current Basic Life Support Card

Emergency: Required:

• Valid California RN License with evidence of continuing education 30 units per two years
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) 
• Experience in use of critical intervention skills (preferably Emergency Department)
• Formal hospital orientation
• Non-violent crisis intervention training annually

Preferred:

• Basic windows and mouse skills preferred
• Emergency Nursing and/or Critical Care Course

Maternal Child Care: Required:

• Current California RN license

• Current AFM, ACLS, CPR and NRP care as appropriate for clinical specialty.

• Current Basic Life Support Card.
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education. 

Preferred:

• BSN/MSN preferred.

Critical Care:

• Current California RN license
• Evidence of continuing education
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education
• Current Basic Life Support Card
• Basic EKG interpretation required within 6 months of hire date
• ACLS certification required (for new RN graduates within 6 months)
• Critical Care Course required within one year of hire. 

G.I. Services:

• Current California RN license
• ACLS card within 1 year of hire/transfer for nurses providing direct patient care.
• Conscious Sedation module completed within 1 year of hire or transfer to department.
• Previous GI Lab experience preferred
• 1 year med/surg. experience

PACU:

• Current California RN license.
• Evidence of continuing education.
• Current BCLS card, ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrates expertise in direct patient care pre/post operative nursing.
• Critical care/ER experience and/or have demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation.
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in critical care.

Same Day Surgery:

• Current California RN license
• Current BCLS certification
• For PACU nurses, one year in a critical care area
• For OR nurses, previous experience.

Surgery:

• Current California RN license
• Current BCLS certification
• Previous OR experience preferred
• Evidence of continuing education

RN MDS/DSD Coordinator- Transitional Care Unit/ Acute Rehabilitation Center:

• Current California RN license
• BSN degree required
• Evidence of continuing education
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education
• Prior experience in long term care setting
• Knowledge of Title XXII, OBRA, MDS and Medicare regulations
• Knowledge/experience in adult teaching methods.
• Current Director of Staff Development certification (DSD)
• Current Basic Life Support Card

RN PPS Coordinator-Transitional Care Unit/Acute Rehabilitation Center: Required:

• Current California RN License
• Current CPR certification
• Two years clinical experience in an acute care facility 

Preferred:

• BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program

RN (19N)  MICN-Emergency:

• Valid California RN License with evidence of continuing education 30 units per two years and 48 hours of Pre-hospital Care approved courses
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Experience in use of critical intervention skills (preferably Emergency Department)
• Formal hospital orientation
• Current MICN Certification
• Basic windows and mouse skills preferred
• Non-violent crisis intervention training annually

RN Nurse Navigator-OP Care Center Management: Required:

• Current California RN license
• OCN required or needs to be obtained within one year
• Member of professional organizations
• Minimum 2 years of working with oncology patients.
