Location: The preference is a local candidate to the Bethesda, MD office but if not located in the DC Metro Area, remote candidates in the US will be considered.
Overview Collage Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in a key role focused on data analytics, data visualization, financial planning and reporting to join our innovative and growing team in our mission to help organizations unleash the power of culture to drive brand growth at a time when America is undergoing a seismic cultural transformation. This position partners cross functionally with leadership teams and provides them with the analysis and information they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions.
Duties will include data analytics, budget, report, and assist in decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information and recommending strategic, operational and tactical actions based on their findings.
What you will do in the FP&A Analyst role - Coordinate with sales operations, accounting, senior management, and heads of departments.
- Measure and track business metrics across all departments within the Company by utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Take the lead in designing and developing dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate information to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate creativity in presenting data-driven insights, ensuring visualizations are clear, impactful, and align with business objectives.
- Prepare financial and budgets and forecasts plans for individual departments and the wider organization
- Review monthly reporting package including P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows and related variance analysis
- Review commissions and payroll on a bi-monthly basis
- Create financial models, financial projections, and budgeting to predict growth and forecast performance, and present your recommendations to senior management
- Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation and system enhancements.
- Assist in yearly audits of financial statements
- Ad-hoc analysis, as required
What you have done - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related field
- 2-5 years working as a Finance Analyst or Business Analyst with a focus on data analytics and visualization
- Express yourself clearly using strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize
- Expertise in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and programming languages.
- Proven success while working under pressure
- Proactive approach and works well in a team setting
- Worked with Financial Modeling, Projections, Budgets, and deep understanding of financial statements
- Solved problems by leveraging data and research
- Understand the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
- Process information with high levels of accuracy
- Have the ability to present ideas clearly through oral, written, visual, and non-verbal communication
