Job description
Primary Function :
The Material Handler Lead oversees and coordinates: Other Material Handler/Forklift Drivers working in the Production area’s duties and responsibilities to ensure supplies are delivers to production lines and finished pallets are accurate in the computer system, to pick loads, load trailers, stage product for pick-up, move product with lift trucks. They also will oversee and coordinate the daily material needs for the production lines such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient shipment of goods, and supervising staff.

- Follow all Company policies and procedures
- Adhere to Attendance guidelines
- Counting twice weekly packaging inventory
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Verifying and distributing all inbound freight
- Storing and Staging all finished product
- Keep the warehouse clean and orderly

Additional Front Line Leader Responsibilities :
- Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations
- Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk
- Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws
- Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department, Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.)
- Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible
- Sets goals for their organizational unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.
- Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Experience:
- 1-5 years prior experience driving a forklift in a production environment
- Proven to have leadership skills

Special Skills:
- Must be able to climb on and off a forklift
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Some computer skills
- Must have the ability to stack loads effectively with the lift Forklift operator
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Must operate lift safely and follow all regulations at all times
- Ability to obtain CDL license preferred
Pay Range: $24.25 - $26.00 per hour
